Stripe Split Pay – Vendor Guide
Important Notice
OutboardBits now uses Stripe Split Pay and Paypal Split Pay. Vendors no longer need to request withdrawals. Payments are processed automatically through Stripe / Paypal and transferred directly to your connected bank account.
What Is Stripe Split Pay / Paypal Split Pay?
OutboardBits uses the above to automatically distribute payments between the marketplace and vendors.
When a customer places an order, the payment is securely processed by Stripe. The marketplace commission is automatically deducted and the remaining balance is allocated to the vendor’s Stripe account.
This means there is no need to request withdrawals or wait for manual payments from the marketplace.

How It Works
- A customer places an order.
- The payment is processed through Stripe.
- OutboardBits automatically deducts its 10% marketplace commission.
- The remaining 90% is allocated to the vendor.
- Stripe / Paypal transfers funds to the vendor’s bank account according to their payout schedule.
Example
If you sell an item for £100:
- Marketplace commission (10%): £10
- Vendor receives: £90
- Stripe or Paypal processing fees may apply separately.
Getting Started
To receive payments, vendors must have a Stripe or Paypal Business account.
Step 1 – Create a Stripe Account
If you do not already have a Stripe account, you can create one during the connection process.
Step 2 – Connect Stripe
- Log in to your Vendor Dashboard.
- Go to Settings.
- Select Payment Settings.
- Click Connect with Stripe.
- Follow the Stripe verification process.
- Add your bank account details when requested.
Step 3 – Complete Verification
Stripe may request:
- Business details
- Contact information
- Proof of identity
- Bank account information
This verification process helps protect buyers, sellers and the marketplace from fraud.
The same applies to Paypal Business account.
When Will I Receive My Money?
Payments are controlled by Stripe / Paypal and are normally transferred according to your payout schedule.
Most vendors receive funds within a few business days after payment has been successfully processed.
You can view upcoming and completed payouts directly from your Stripe / Paypal Dashboard.
Fees
OutboardBits retains an 10% commission on each successful sale.
Stripe / Paypal may also charge standard payment processing fees in accordance with your Stripe account agreement.
